 Online video roleplay has never

been more essential.

Throughout 2020, we have continued to provide our roleplay services through online video consultations. We aim to ensure that any actor we use has a fast, reliable internet connection, a high quality microphone, has a working knowledge of the technology and has undergone our online roleplay training.

How do we work differently online?

We have trained our simulators to make a small change to how they roleplay online;

a small change that makes a huge difference

More Visual, Less Vocal

Shorter Silences

Many online video meeting applications use 'microphone priority'. We therefore encourage our simulators to use more visual listening cues and less vocal, so as not to become to the 'priority' microphone and cut off the candidate mid sentence.

Silence can be a very important tool in roleplay, but we encourage our simulators to use shorter silences to stop confusion about whether connection has been lost or they haven't heard what the candidate has said.

Less Interruptions

Even with the best preparation and the fastest internet speed, there can always be a delay in the video transmission, we therefore encourage our simulators to only interrupt if totally necessary, in an attempt to prevent an awkward communication.
